How do I book an event?

Open the event page, pick how many spots you want, and pay. That's it. Your spot is held for 10 minutes while you complete payment, and once it succeeds you get a booking code that works as your ticket at the door.

Where do I find my tickets?

Everything you've booked lives in My Bookings in your dashboard, including the booking code for each confirmed spot. We also email you a confirmation the moment a booking goes through.

Question 3

What does "Coming soon" on an event mean?

The host has announced the event but hasn't opened booking yet. Keep an eye on it. The Book button appears the moment the host publishes ticket sales.

What happens if an event is postponed?

Your ticket stays valid and we email you as soon as the host sets the new date. If the new plan doesn't work for you, or you don't want to wait, you can request a full refund from My Bookings at any time while the event is postponed.

What if the host cancels?

Accepted Answer

You're refunded automatically and in full, ticket price and all fees, with no action needed from you. You'll get an email and an in-app notification right away.

How are payments handled?

All payments run through Stripe. Your card details never touch our servers, and the host doesn't receive the money until after the event has actually run. It's held in escrow in between, which is what makes refunds reliable.

Can I get a refund if I can't make it?

Yes. Request one from My Bookings up to the refund cutoff, typically 24 hours before the event starts. Once approved, the full amount goes back to your original payment method. After the cutoff, bookings are final.

How long does a refund take to arrive?

Refunds are issued to your original payment method and most banks show them within 5 to 10 business days. If it's been longer, contact us with your booking code and we'll chase it.

Are prices final, or are there hidden fees?

The price you see at checkout, including any discount or coupon, is the full amount you pay. Nothing is added at the door.

How do I become a host?

Apply from the Become a Host page. Our team reviews every application, and before you can sell paid tickets you'll complete a quick identity and banking verification with Stripe so we can pay you.

When do I get paid?

Your share of every booking is held in escrow and released a few days after your event has run. From your dashboard you can then withdraw your balance straight to your bank account.

What does hosting cost?

Listing events is free. WeOut takes a platform fee on each paid booking, and you always see exactly what you'll earn per ticket before you publish.

Can I run recurring events?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Set an event to recurring when you create it and pick the schedule. Each occurrence gets its own page, bookings, and capacity, and future dates keep materializing automatically.

What's the difference between closing sales, postponing, and cancelling?

Accepted Answer

Closing sales stops new bookings while the event still happens, and existing tickets stay valid. Postponing pauses everything while you find a new date; tickets stay valid and guests can ask for a refund. Cancelling calls the event off entirely and refunds every paid guest automatically.
